Dear everyone,
I'm not even sure where to start. Not because there was a lot that
happened this week, but because there wasn't a whole lot that
happened. Overall it was uneventful week. There were a couple of
exciting things that happened though. After I wrote home last week we
drove to Duncan for our zone p-day. It was a super long drive and there
wasn't anything to look at except for dead grass and trees. That it
what all of Oklahoma is looking like these days. While we were down
there we went bowling and I got a 138. I don't know where that would be
on a normal bowling scale, but that was really good for me. While we
were down there the Zone Leaders who are in Duncan said that they met
someone who said that they knew Dad. They said his name was Brian
Womack. I have no idea who that is so if Dad does know him you should
fill me in. I woke up at 12:30 or so with whatever it was that I had
again. Luckily whatever it was is gone. I am feeling a lot better
now.
On Thursday we ended up riding our bikes all over Ada because we
had used a bunch of miles on Monday from driving to Duncan. It wasn't
as bad as it sounds like it was, but it was still pretty bad. Friday We
did another exchange with Pauls Valley this time. We didn't get a
whole lot done there because there weren't that many people home for
some reason. It was still pretty fun though. I got to drive for the
first time out here. I'm not really sure why Elder Hernandez didn't
drive but I'm not going to complain. It was really weird at first just
because it had been so long since I drove. It didn't take me very long
to get used to driving again though. Saturday night we had another
lesson with Christina and Jerry. We went over the Stop Smoking Workshop
with her. It was really cool at the end. She committed to quit
smoking and then she crushed up her cigarettes. I'm not sure how she is
doing so far but we are supposed to be meeting with her tonight so we
will find out then. The other really cool thing was we had a lesson
with Carrie as well. She is still wanting to be baptized so that is
going to happen this Saturday at 4. I don't think that there is
anything that will stop her from getting baptized.
I found out that I don't even get a full two years to serve
anymore. I am three days short of two years now. Because of the age
change and the time english speaking missionaries will be in the MTC,
the January-March transfer is only going to be 5 weeks. That is why it
will be a week shorter. So now I will be coming home on (or around)
October 14, 2014.
So yeah, it was a slower week. But I still love being out here and
being able to serve. It is so much fun. I can't even remember what we
do all day. There is so much that happens in one day and I don't even
know where all of the time goes.
Well I love you all! thank you for everything you are doing. Have fun at home and be happy.
Love Elder Woodward
