Edmond, Oklahoma -March 4, 2013

Hello Everyone,

 

HOLY CRAP!!! WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME THAT SHANNON WAS PUTTING IN HER MISSION PAPERS UNTIL NOW! YOU ARE ALL FIRED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE FIRED FROM, BUT YOU JUST ARE!  My guesses are for stateside: California Long Beach; and International:  Italy Milan.  Yep so you can just give me the prize now.  I know that I was right.  The Spirit told me so.

 

Anywho,  moving along.  Well we had quite the storm last week.  It consisted of sunny skies and freezing cold winds.  The weather man was a little bit off on his prediction of a "blizzard."  From what I heard about it, Edmond was one of the few places that was able to avoid the storm.  I heard that Woodward, OK got around 16 in. of snow. 

 

Speaking of Woodward,  one of our current AP's, Elder Heyland, will be going up to Woodward this next transfer to re-open the area.  Sadily I'm not going to be his companion.  But there is still hope for me to serve there now that it isn't a Sister area anymore.  I'm sure that you are all wondering who the new Assistant to the President will be.  The new AP is going to be Elder Logan Fee.  Yep that's right, my mission dad is now an AP like I told him he would be two transfers ago! 

 

Other big news from this past week.  The Sister missionaries in our district had a baptism on Saturday evening.  It was awesome!  His name is Andrew and he is one of the investigators that almost every missionary wishes they could teach.  It was super cool to get to go to his baptism on Saturday.  I don't think that there was a time when I didn't see him smiling. 

 

Last night we were out with our ward mission leader and we found 3 families that we should be able to start teaching this next week.  Well I should say that Elder Apedaile and his companion will be able to start teaching.  I found out that I will be leaving Edmond on Wednesday.  I will be going all the way down to the boonies of the mission.  I am going to be headed to Wichita Falls North.  I'm going to Texas!  So it is time to get all packed up again so I can get ready to ship out next week.
