Hey Everyone,
Well it sounds like things are
going pretty well for everyone back home. Things are about the same for
me this week. The snowstorm that we had here last Tuesday kinds threw
the rest of the week off. We got a text from one of the AP's telling us
that the mission was grounded until further notice, so we got to spend
all day cooped up in our apartment. That was when we made that
snowman. To answer your question about where my coat was, it was inside
on the couch. It didn't seem like it was that cold outside when we
made the snowman, but I was smitten a couple days later when I started
to get sorta sick. The extent of my sickness was a stuffy nose and some
coughing. You think I would have learned my lesson, but being the
crazy Utah boy I am I will be out in the snow making another snowman
without my coat soon enough.
Last week I told you a little bit about Brandon, the
former NFL football player. Well we finally got to go back and have a
lesson with him and his wife last night. I say finally because the last
lesson that missionaries had with them was on Jan. 15, so it has been a
little while. Brandon and Kyla are AWESOME!!! Brandon is already in
Jacob 4, and was making connections from what they learned about in
their church to the Book of Mormon. We went in and talked with them for
a little while and answered the questions that they had from the
restoration. After we had answered some of their questions, Brandon
asked us "If we don't have anymore questions right now, what is the next
thing you guys wanted to talk to us about." Brandon is so ready and is
eager to learn about the gospel. After he asked us that we taught them
the Plan of Salvation, and they seemed to take it really well. After
the lesson Brandon shared with us that since that last time we came
over, he had felt a spark in his family and his life. The only downside
to all of this is that Brandon and Kyla are both super busy, so for now
the next time we can go back and see them isn't until March 10. I
really hope that I will get to stay here in Edmond long enough to see
them get baptized.
Overall we had a really good week, but there aren't a
lot of exciting stories that are coming to my mind right now. So I
guess this week will be a shorter letter. But for now, good luck to
Emmie and Darcy at their soccer games. So yeah that is about it from me
this week. I love you all.
