Dear Family,
Well there has been lots
of stuff happen this past week. With it being transfer time yet again
and with the tornado that went through Moore last week everything has
gotten moved around. Transfer day was supposed to be yesterday but
because of the tornado, President Taylor moved transfers to today. So
there isn't a whole lot of time for me to write, but I will include as
much as I can.
This past week has been absolutely crazy! Although
the tornado in Moore was big and devastating, we had some pretty crazy
weather here as well. No tornadoes unfortunately. On Monday while we
were having out big rainstorm we were all at the River Bend Nature
Center. So being the crazy people we are we had some fun while we were
there. I decided that I wanted to go horseback riding in the middle of
the rainstorm, so I ran to the first horse I saw and went for a ride.
The horse was rather colorful and hollow. It was still fun though.

So this week the work here in the South has
slowly started to pick up again. On Friday we got two new
investigators, Megan and Tanner. They are a young couple who are
wanting to learn more about the gospel. The are both super prepared and
they are ready to learn about the church. At our lesson on Friday,
Elder Kahawaii and I went in planning to teach the Restoration and
introduce them to the Book of Mormon. In the end we didn't end up
teaching them about that. They were both asking super good questions
about our faith and most of their questions were about the Plan of
Salvation, so we taught them the Plan of Salvation. Both Megan and
Tanner understood most of what we taught them and they both loved the
Plan of Salvation. At the end of the lesson Megan said to us how she
liked that we (the church) focused on the positive things and not the
doom and gloom stuff. Then to top all of it off, we texted Megan last
night to try to set up another appointment, and during the conversation
she was wanting to know how she can help the rest of her family accept
the fact that she is wanting to take the time to learn more so that she
can convert. It was so cool!
Well I just now realized that I
never told you what was going to be happening with me this next
transfer. I will be staying in the Wichita Falls South area with Elder
Kahawaii. I am really excited for this with the miracle that has
happened with us starting to teach Megan and Tanner. I am excited for
this transfer.
Sorry this letter is so short
again. There isn't to much to talk about at this point. But next week
will be better. I promise. And since a picture is worth a thousand
words (which is more then I would ever write) I will send you some
pictures and you cam imagine the rest. Have a great week! Love you
all!
Love Elder Cameron Woodward
